Releasing Kate comes out on Monday and I'm so excited to share this book with you guys! Because this book is going to give you a lot of *spoiler alert* type of information, I have created a Facebook discussion group for it. Now for some really exciting news! Breaking Kate hit 100 reviews on Goodreads this week! Out of those 100 reviews 60 of them are 5 stars! I can't even begin to tell you how blessed I feel right now. We are only 3 reviews away from 100 on Amazon.

My plea to you is to please go into whatever platform you use and leave your reviews if you've read the books. Amazon, Goodreads, B&N, iTunes, or Kobo. Honest reviews are the biggest compliment a reader can pay an author. If Amazon hits 100 reviews for Breaking Kate by Monday, I'll do a special giveaway in the release day party. If Catching Kate hits 60 by next week I'll do another special giveaway. :)

I could probably share information with you guys all day long because my mind is full of random tidbits of information today LOL. I'll just share one more thing and let you get back to your day.

Releasing Kate Coming Fall 2014!

Hey Everyone!
 

I've got some exciting news for you! I know you've all been waiting for a release date for Releasing Kate. It's going to be a Fall release! I know you really weren't looking forward to a winter release. Right now the tentative release date is November 23rd. I say tentative because we all know that due to unforeseen circumstances dates can change. I love the idea of a Thanksgiving week release so I'm going to do my best to keep that date firm. The last book in the series is set with a March release date and that won't change.

In the next few days I'll be sending out an email with information about pre-orders and upcoming book releases. I'm also doing a mailing list only giveaway, so if you're not on it yet now is the time to sign up! Just click on the link at the top of this page that says mailing list and sign up. It's super easy.

For the past few days we've been sharing our hearts out on Facebook in exchange for an extended teaser from Releasing Kate. I was going to share a Connor and Kate preview but decided since you already read a scene with them at the end of Catching Kate maybe you would want Kate and Daniel instead. Sorry #TeamMike but you did just get a whole book of him. :)

Excerpt from Releasing Kate (subject to final editing)

“Kate, baby, can you please come out and talk to me?”

I swing open the door and he immediately pulls me into his arms. My home, my comfort zone, the only place I thought I would ever want to be. I don’t want to feel like this. I want him with every fiber of my being and yet, I want Mike, too. It’s so much better this way, being forced to push them both away. I don’t want to have to choose between them. They both mean too much to me. Even so, there’s nothing better than the feeling of being wrapped in Daniel’s arms. When he kisses me on the forehead I want to melt into him. Instead, it’s my cue to pull away.

“Talk to me Kate.” His voice is pained

“It was awful, Daniel, just so awful. It broke him, like it broke me. But in a way, it was almost worse, so much worse. I was on the outside looking in and yet I felt every shatter of his heart encompassed in my own.”

“I’m sorry you guys had to go through that. I wish… I wish things were different and I could help Mike get through this. That we could separate our feelings for you from our friendship, but I just don’t see that happening.”

I sigh softly; it’s a relief knowing that he sees it too.

“I’m glad you understand, maybe that will help make this easier.”

He looks at me shocked.

“Kate. I CHOOSE YOU. Always. Last night, you said you chose me too. And today…today you’re all over the place. We have to talk about Vanessa, and Mike, and work through…”

“Mike kissed me!” I blurt out

I will never forget the look of rage and pain that crosses his eyes in this instance. It’s seared into my soul.

“HE DID WHAT?”

I put my head in my hands as I feel the tears coming and I whisper softly, “Mike kissed me.”

Daniel begins pacing back and forth across the room, not saying anything to me but slowly counting to ten each time he crosses the floor.

“Did you want him to?” he asks sadly

“No.” I only answer with one word because I don’t want to volunteer any information. But I told him I would never lie to him and I won’t.

“Did you kiss him back?” He struggles with the last word and I know he doesn’t want to hear the answer he’s going to get.

“Yes.”

“Fuck!” More pacing and more counting, I can’t help thinking he must have learned the counting from his mom.

“I need to know the context of the kiss Kate. I need you to explain it to me.”

“Daniel, I don’t know if that’s a good idea.”

“Damn it Kate! Your lips were on mine less than twenty four hours ago. Until this morning, I thought we had a future together. At the very least you owe me this much.”

He’s right. I owe him this, and so much more.
